Just Because....

Okay.. While sorting through all my DT photos today I came across this latest photo of Kiah. To explain the photo a bit..

We have been madly working on our backyard this last weekend. We finally are getting lawn. Much to the pleasure of Nate who counted the sleeps till it was due to be laid. LOL...though on the day we had originally organised for it to be delivered I had to cancel due to Troy being in hospital for sudden surgery... very long story that I will go into in another post. So.. we organised for it to be re.delivered for this weekend. I tell you that we must be jinxed or not supposed to have lawn 'cause when it was suppose to come they had stuffed up and only had 22 of our much needed 47 metres. GRRRR!!! Well.. we did lay the 22 metres and today the remaining lawn was delivered.. so you can guess what Troy will be doing tonight after work.LOL. It will be nice to see it ALL there. It has been a long hard slog to get the yard done, but I am glad we have taken our time to get it JUST RIGHT !

Okay you say... what has this got to do with the photo... Weeellllll.... as we were working in the yard we were all dressed in our "glad rags" except Kiah who spent the day in her jammies due to the fact I was feeling a little lazy. She ended up having two REALLY long naps ( 4 hrs and we woke her and 2 hrs) during the day too, so changing her seemed pointless. When she finally ventured outside to "help" she ended up wandering around in her jammies. She looked so cute even when she got covered in dust from the mulch we laid... perhaps like a little street urchin that was playing in the gutter....LOL...

Okay better go and finish off my DT posts and get everything ready for the next Fiskars Challenge.

Happy scrapping, M x

The big reveil... Just how our SA Fiskars Birthday Fun Day Crop went..

Back to fill you all in on the amazing day that we had here on Saturday.
You couldn't have asked for a more perfect day here in Adelaide for our latest Fiskars Crop.

The weather was a perfect 25 degrees... the room looked like it had been set up for a birthday party and everyone was ready and raring to go on the the dot at 10am.

With a cuppa to get us started we started off with our off the page project while everyone was fresh. I had designed an altered birthday clipboard for everyone to make. Using two different paper ranges from Heidi Grace, Orchard and Garden, some embellishments and playing with a variety of Heidi Grace and Fiskars clear stamps, these clipboards were done in no time. Everyone had so much fun making these and made plans to make more for family presents!

Not even the smells of lunch could drag them away from their clipboards... mind you I finally managed to do so... So after filling everyone up on some tasty morsels for lunch and plenty of time spent gas bagging about Fiskars products over lunch.. everyone was ready to get started again very quickly. No time spent lingering over a cuppa that was for sure. Everyone was just so eager to start on the next projects....

So.. while everyone was pulling out their card packs I showed everyone the cards we would be making for the day. With some more amazing products to play with we got started. The afternoon ran smoothly with us getting 3 cards made to start with.. All very different and unique.

We then stopped to grab a cuppa and some tasty morsels that my Mum had kindly spent the last week baking for us... Hummingbird Cake so moist it melt in your mouth, Moomba slice that had a mouth watering lemon icing and Chocolate Fudge Brownies made with REAL CHOCOLATE.... YUM PLUS !! Thanks again Mum for all your hard work from everyone that really enjoyed your sweet treats.. that's for sure!

To wrap up the last part of the day we finished off with the last 3 cards. For the cards we played with the Heidi Grace paper ranges - Vineyard, Inspire Me and Woodlands. The cards for me were so much fun to create and even more fun to teach. Everyone enjoyed seeing different ways to play around with paper ranges and ways of making the papers suit any theme. The Heidi Grace and Fiskars Stamps were as always a huge hit. Everyone asked what ranges the stamps were from and I am sure that their shopping lists grew with each new thing I showed them...lol.....

Everyone left at the end of the day with their heads full of new ideas, their goodie bags full of some amazing items they had made, and their shopping lists full of details for the upcoming shopping trips their were planning to purchase some more Fiskars Products. Everyone left eager to attend the next crop I am already planning for November. They were even wanting to book in straight away..lol

I myself had an amazing day, as always. Mind you I did notice from the photos that my darling husband took that I looked very much like I had waddled around..lol...the joys of being pregnant. However despite my state it was so nice to see all the work I had put into the day appreciated and to be able to show people how to use some amazing products that Fiskars had sent me to play with.

So.. I will leave you with a slide show of the day... I myself am heading off to put my feet up after finally getting my house back to normal.

Can't wait to get started on the final ideas for the next crop in November... Last Minute Xmas Ideas...

Till next time...
Thanks for looking...

Michelle :)

Just one sleep left... and sooooo excited...

Just a quick post from me before I snuggle down for the night... I am feeling very tired though very excited about tomorrow....
Why?? you may ask..... Well.... tomorrow is finally the big day of our third big crop day here in Adelaide, South Australia ! The theme for this big event this time is "Birthday Fun Day"... and it looks so festive in the room all set up for the big day....
Over the last week I have been busy pre-painting, cutting, stamping and shopping for all the goodies for the big day. The balloons are all blown up, goodie bags all made and steamers all strung. My Mum has kindly baked up a storm once again, so we have some really yummy Chocolate Fudge Brownies, Moomba Slice and Hummingbird Cake to tempt us at morning tea. For lunch we have some really yummy savoury treats to top us up. But best of all thanks to Fiskars and the wonderful Trea we have some amazing Fiskars products to play with for the WHOLE DAY !
I am feeling totally exhausted though very prepared now. We have had a house full of very sick people here over the last few weeks which has added to the excitement here. Plus the fact that I have 16 weeks left of my pregnancy... I must say that it has been a fun time here of late.... wouldn't have it any other way.
So... had better get myself off to bed to get some sleep for the big day.. so many fun things planned and soooo many fun things to create...We have six great birthday cards to suit all age groups and genders... plus we will also be creating a birthday clipboard calendar. I will show you some pictures of the fun things we create on Sunday so it is all kept a surprise for those lucky enough to be able to come and create with us. Look forward to filling you all in more on our fun and exciting Birthday Fun Day Crop here in Adelaide...
Till then... Happy Scrapping... Michelle
