Believe it or not.. I am here...

Really I am... just very busy getting stuff made up for the next Fiskars Crop.. starting my new DT position...Scrapping for next months projects for the Fiskars Blog.. and trying to get some "me" time to scrap...
Well.. I am pleased to say that this month I have been able to get some of the old LO's that have been sitting in my WIP folder for yonks finally finished... I had this mad idea at the start of this year to prep LO's and put them into my WIP folder. I had precut them and even decided on sketches to use for them... well they only got as far as that then the folder got packed way and wasn't found until the start of this month when I reorganised my scrap room (whole nother story as to why this had to happen !!)

So here is what I have been playing with...Added a few newish prodcuts to the LO's to revamp the older stuff that had been precut. Also trying to get rid of all my chipboard alphas that I have around the place. With my new toy.. my cricut.. I don't need them as stencils any longer..

Going away....

Just a quick one to let everyone know I will be MIA for the next week. We are choofing off to Stansbury for a week of fishing, camping, crabbing, geocaching and basic R&R.. well that's the theory... Sadly no scrapping however.. would need a whole other trailer just to pack for that..lol..lol...

Have managed to get a whole heaps of scrapping done in the last week...though will catch you all up on that once I get back... photos all taken just gotta up load them.

Okay... still a few last minute things to do before heading to be so we can get an early start...

Catch you all when we get back... I will be feeling very scrap deprived for sure..lol

Easter the Fiskars Way

Found some time after the Fiskars Crop here in Adelaide to be able to play with some more of the amazing products I have been sent to play with.

With Easter just around the corner I though it was about time to FINALLY scrap a layout about Easter last year.. YES.. I know it probably should already be done, but I am not that type of a scrapper... I don't scrap in order at all..lol.. I tend to scrap what I feel and tell stories about the photos.

I have made a promise to myself this year though that i intend to scrap this years Easter photos much soon..!! Well.. that's the theory.

So... I just LOVE the new Heidi Grace Clears stamps that have come out lately... though I must say that these one's, Sweetest Bug Icons, would have to be my favourite.. well favourite of the minute...lol.. there are soooo many yummy clear stamps out by Fiskars at the moment that is so hard to choose.. These particular stamps however seem to lend themselves nicely to being coloured with watercolour pencils and cut out so well..

So here is a quick and easy layout from me..

It's a wrap !!

Geeh.... golly gosh... Finally !

Sorry for taking so long to fill everyone in on how the crop day here in Adelaide went last Saturday.. things have been a little busy here this past week after the crop.. and on top of that my computer has been on the blink.. the end result to it all is firstly I am all up to date with all my scrapbooking commitments, even managed to get 10 layouts done in the past few days too, and a new computer is being looked into for me.

So... enough dribble about my merry life...

The Fiskars Easter Eggstravaganza Crop here in Adelaide this last weekend was an absolute blast. I don't know who had more fun... me or the ladies that attended ! We had so much fun playing with the Fiskars Squeeze Punches, Heidi Grace papers and clear stamps, Bling, Ink and more.

Once again the day was a huge success...The combination of Amazing Fiskars products, wonderful company and yummy food made it just that. I am very grateful that I have the support from everyone at Fiskars, the Fiskars Lead Ambassadors and my family to help make these days happen. Without them all they won't be possible.

We started our day off with making 6 cards. We had some of the older Heidi Grace paper ranges to work with. It was fun to be able to show everyone who to revamp the older ranges with some of the new products out now. I am certainly getting a name for myself as the "Queen of Revamp" lol...I love showing people how to do this.

After a yummy lunch we moved onto our Mini Gatefold Album. I had made one of these before Christmas and after I had featured it on my blog everyone was eager to make one like it. I changed things around a bit from my Christmas one and we played around with the new Fiskars scalloped heart squeeze punch.

We all finished at the end of the day on a high. Everyone went home with huge wish lists after seeing the new stamps coming out soon and excited about the new paper ranges too... they are all soooo yummy and it was heaps of fun to tease every one's taste buds with a sneak peek at them.

So without further ado.. here is the photos of what we go up to and all the fun that we had. Thanks again to everyone that attended, Fiskars for their continued support of the crops here in Adelaide, The Fiskars Lead Ambassadors and my wonderful family.

Looking forward to the next crop here in Adelaide in May, Fiskars Spring Fling Crop Day. Keep your eyes pealed for more details as the day get closer.

Cheers and Happy Scrapping, M x

Fun with Punches and Paper the Fiskars Way

This is what happens when you let an 11 year old and 5 year old loose in a scrap room of a Fiskars crazy household !

This year, like last year, my kids wanted to create goodies for their class buddies and friends. I had found these really cool brightly coloured plastic eggs that opened at our local cheap shop. I though they would be perfect for the kids to give to their friends. So I set about setting my kids up to create up a storm.

Everyone has abundance of scraps and I was more than happy for them to pull out my Fiskars scraps and let loose. Even though my kids have all their own punches my Fiskars punch draw always seems to be empty...this time was no exception ! They pulled out my Fiskars Threaded Water and Scalloped Heart Fiskars Squeeze Punches and found the Heidi Grace Heart was a perfect match for the inside of the scalloped heart. After a bit of double sided tape, inking and stamping bird using Heidi Grace Tags and Words Clear Stamp... this is what they came up with...

I spent this afternoon helping them fill the eggs with chocolate eggs.. mind you my daughter who is almost two found eating the eggs more fun than filling them... luckily I always buy extra for my lolly/chocolate freak !

I must say... and I may be bias...that I am most proud of what they have come up with... they look so cute and all..I am also proud that they like to make gifts to give to there friends as a gesture of friendship. That I find is is really sweet.

So...why not get your kids to create up a storm.. you might be surprised at what they can do when you let them loose !

Cheers M x
