Holiday scrapbooking tools and supplies

Okay..

So...

I am in the middle of packing my scrap booking supplies for camping.

My husband has been rolling his eyes and making comments about having to take an extra trailer!

I just wanted to be able to do some created so have decided that cards would be the best option.

I found some cute little card packs to play around with that were crying out to be hand cut.

I am also trying to be good and limiting what I take.. mainly to keep hubby happy..lol..

Here's what I have managed to sort out I think I will need to get 24 cards made.

I want to be able to have the cards completed and not need to add anything to them when I get back. I plan to keep the cards since and perhaps not have set themes to them at all.. more the multi purpose card for the stash.

Would love to know what you would pack if you were going away for two weeks.

Will show you the cards when I come back that I get completed.

Cheers M x

Playing around with some punches.

Just a quick share...
Did this layout a few weeks ago and haven't had a chance to share it yet.

Played around with some Fiskars punches, stamps, and patterned paper scraps. The patterned paper is embossed and I have added gold brads to the smaller circles which you can just see.
Why not pull out your punches and have a play around with some scrap paper to see what you can create.

Sunshine and Lollipops....

Well.. here's hoping there is plenty of sunshine for us!

We are heading off to Stansbury for the school holidays in a few days. Looking forward to some rest and relaxation that for sure.

And YES! I have planned to pack so scrap booking supplies !

I bought a couple of card packs that I want to play around with. I just couldn't go away without taking something.

I also have a couple of Card magazines and my latest Scrap booking Memories magazine waiting to be packed to take away also.

So while the kids are off making sand castles, playing with other kids at the caravan park and generally having fun I hope to get some bit and pieces done.

That's the theory anyway.. will have to see how things pan out.

Will pop in from time to time to see what everyone is up to.

Have fun, M x

All the Fiskars fun we had

What a fun weekend we had here in Adelaide for our Fiskars crop.. We were all nice and toasty warm inside this weekend scrapping our letting butts of. The room smelled of freshly brewed coffee, banana cake and anticipation when we started. Few people missing from the photos.. but hard to take as everyone was moving around when I managed to pull the camera out.

We didn't waste any time and got stuck into creating two layouts this month. (The white pieces in the photo is where the ladies have to add their photos later. Just so they could get all the placement right.)

We wrapped the day up with some cards...

Better get back to it...
Stay tuned for the last crop of the year...

Fiskars fun this weekend

That time has come again for spreading the Fiskars love. We have our crop coming up tomorrow and I am very excited to be able to share with the lucky people that are coming some of the Fiskars tools I have to play with.

Here's a sneak peek of the cards we will be craeting this time to wet your appetite.

Check back in next week for a wrap up of all we get up to.

Happy Scrapping, Mx

Please excuse the grotty faces and pyjamas. We haven't been taking many photos lately and when we have the kids all seem to be in pyjmamas..lol.. these were taken one night straight after dinner and Miss T had escaped quickly before we could attack her with the cloth !

Our Mischievious Miss Trouble!

Show Winner's

Okay.. can finally share with you which of my Royal Adelaide entries were winners this year...

Class 1212 - Journalling only
Came 3rd with this Layout

Journalling reads -
Some people ask me what I do for a job. When I tell them I am a stay at home mum their comments make me giggle.
“Wow, you’re so lucky, you get to stay in your pyjamas all day” (not by choice.. trust me!) .. “ So what DO you do ALL day with your free time?” (Free time??? what’s that)…
Trust me when I say, I DO NOT spend my days at the coffee shop over lattes, get my nails done, or go window shopping.
My social time is spent taking kids to school, playgroup, occasional care, shopping trips for food with two kids under 5, and craft time at the library.
My daily conversations involve who’s pooped, nursery rhymes, why I can’t make ABC put the shows they want on, homework, and what happened at school for the day.
My workout time for that day involved a 4km round trip to school with a double pram, weight lifting loads of washing to and from the line, and carrying an 18mth old up and down the stairs for the hundredth time.
My “Me” time involves being able to take a shower to shave my legs alone, putting the hair dye into my hair that has been sitting on the bathroom window sill for the last few months, and reading before passing out in bed.
I wouldn’t trade it for the world however crazy my four children make me some days. I would just like some people to realise that my family IS my JOB and that I don’t get paid to do it. It is a labour or love. I love being there for my family when they need me. It can be tough financially though we all make scarifies to be happy

I Resign

Found this today and thought it was fitting for the moment... made me smile and reflect a little. Remember the small things, Keep smiling, and don't let anyone take you for granted. Life is a complicated thing to live. Friendship should equal honest and equality. Enjoy reading this. M xx

I Resign.

I hereby officially tender my resignation as an adult.
I have decided I would like to accept the responsibilities of an eight-year-old again.
I want to go to Mc Donald's and think that it is a four star restaurant
I want to sail sticks across a fresh mud puddle and make ripples with rocks.
I want to think that M&M's are better than money because you can eat them.
I want to lie under a big oak tree and run a lemonade stand with my friends on a hot summers day.
I want to return to a time where life was simple.
When all you knew were colors, multiplication tables and nursery rhymes
But that didn't bother you, because you were blissfully unaware of all the things that should make you make you worried or upset.
I want to think that the world is fair.
That everyone is good and honest.
I want to believe that anything is possible
I want to be oblivious to the complexities of life and be overly excited by the little things again.
I want to live simple again.
I don't want my day to consist of computer crashes, mountains of paperwork and depressing news,
How to survive more days in the month than there is money in the bank, doctors bills, gossip, illness and loss of loved ones.
I want to believe in the power of smiles, hugs , kind words, truth, justice, dreams, the imagination, mankind and making snow angels in the snow.
So...
Here's my checkbook and care keys, my credit cards and all my responsibility.
I a officially resigning from adulthood.
And if you want to discuss this further...
You'll have to catch me first,
'cause....
"TAG, YOUR IT!"

Look what the Postman brought me...

WOW!!!!! Woundered what was going on when the courier arrived at 6.30pm at night. We never have parecels delivered that late. We were in the middle of eating dinner and Jhane, my eldest opened the door for the courier.
This is what he delievered to me from Fiskars...

How amazing are these. Because of being a Fiskateer I was lucky enough to get these to play with. They are soooooo nice to squeeze too! They have been awarded the Ease of Use award by the Arthritis association and you can definately tell why. If I am not careful I think my Mum and Dad might steal them from me. They were quite impressed to try them when I showed them the next day.
I have some gardening to tackle on sunday and cannot wait to give them a try.
Will show you some more pictures of them in action next week.
